Chelsea won 4-0 against Malmo FF in Champions League. Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku were both injured, so Chelsea was victorious.
Lukaku was injured in the ankle and left the Stamford Bridge game on 18 minutes. Werner, however, was still able to walk off the field with a tight hamstring just before the half-time break.
Chelsea won the match with a dominating performance. Werner missed a crucial opportunity in the six-yard box, six minutes into the match, when Werner misjudged Lukaku’s drilled cross.
After a period of pressure, Chelsea was rewarded by Andreas Christensen who volleyed the ball past Malmo goalkeeper Johan Dahlin after receiving a whip cross from defender Thiago Silveira. It was the Denmark international’s first goal in 137 club appearances since 2014.
Jorginho, a midfielder, converted a penalty to double his side’s lead after Lukaku was taken down. Chelsea continued to dominate the game.
Boss Thomas Tuchel’s team extended their lead when midfielder Kai Arertz replaced goalkeeper Ismael Diawara, before Jorginho scored his second penalty.
Chelsea is now in second place in Group H, three points behind leader Juventus. They beat Zenit Saint. Petersburg on Wednesday.

UEFA Champions League Picks for Chelsea vs. Malmo
See the picks of Martin Green, European soccer insider, before you watch Wednesday’s match. Green has been covering the game since 2001, after a long career in the betting industry. His European soccer picks have been perfect since then. Since 2017, Green has generated more than $36,000 for $100-bettors. Green has also been a hot picker for the Champions League since joining SportsLine. Green has a record-breaking 86-53-5 streak on his UCL best picks. Anyone who has been following him is on the rise.
Green backs Chelsea to win at +470 odds against Malmo. Malmo was beaten 3-0 by Juventus in a Champions League match last month. The Swedish team is well-acquainted with this result. Malmo looked set for another defeat against Zenit two weeks later, before a stoppage time goal gave the final score of 4-0.
Chelsea has a 3-0 record. The Blues won three of eight Premier League matches, while the other four ended with The Blues losing three. The final score of the 2019 Europa League saw Chelsea win with a 3-0 victory over Chelsea.
Green stated that although Chelsea may not have [Christian] Pulisic or Hakim Ziyech, there is still competition for attack positions with Timo Werner and Kai Havertz, Callum Hudson-Odoi, and [Mason] Mount all trying to support Romelu] Lukaku.” Green spoke to SportsLine. Chelsea may win this game against Malmo because these players will want to impress Thomas Tuchel.
